Ranking

# Ranking

Warning

This feature is available exclusively for Premium Leagues.

The Ranking is a global leaderboard of all users in the League.
It is based on the historical results of the major teams they have controlled over time.
This means it is not a seasonal ranking — it is a long-term cumulative leaderboard.

# How it works

The Ranking considers only matches played by major teams and assigns points to the user who controlled the team at the time the match was saved.

The Ranking is updated every Monday, and includes all matches played during the previous week, regardless of the tournament.

Each regularly played match (i.e., not assigned by default) grants points to the winner and subtracts points from the loser.
In case of a draw, the number of points depends on several factors (explained below).

# Point calculation

Each match awards a certain number of points based on three main elements:

  • Ranking position of both teams
  • Match result, especially the goal difference
  • Tournament level in which the match was played

# 1. Ranking position

The point value of the match varies depending on the difference between the two teams’ positions:

  • If the higher-ranked team wins, the points awarded are low.
  • If the lower-ranked team wins (or draws), the points awarded are significantly higher.

In other words: the more unbalanced the matchup, the more the underdog stands to gain.

# 2. Match result

The goal difference also affects the points:

  • A large victory (e.g., 5–0) yields more points than a narrow win (e.g., 1–0).
  • The greater the goal difference, the higher the point value for both teams.

# 3. Tournament level

Each tournament has an associated level:
the more prestigious the tournament (lower level), the higher the points at stake.
